Mandy Steckelberg - "Stop Laughing at Me"

Mandy is an incredibly talented singer/songwriter, comedian, voice-over actor, and screenwriter. She approached me early in 2007 to record a comedy record that she could release in conjunction with her Laura Bush video, “Liberal’s Just Another Word.” We discussed the possible songs, settled on a plan, and began recording in March 2007. Within a few months, “Stop Laughing at Me” was completed. Pictures of the record can be seen in my Myspace Pics.
The six tracks represent varying styles ranging from straight-ahead rock to country to jazz. In addition to producing and engineering the whole record, I played acoustic and electric guitars, upright and electric bass, and even did a vocal track (very buried) in one song. We recorded everything at my place, Synergy Studios. I’m particularly fond of Track 5: “Weekend in New England”, specifically the great vocal style Mandy found and the brilliant trumpet work by Mandy and Mike Uhler. And I must say, Chris Markwood is a masterful drummer. He only came over for a day, but achieved in a few hours what might take days for a less accomplished drummer.
Mandy’s website is www.meckystecky.com and can be found at www.myspace.com/mandysteckelberg.

Introduction to Gordon Bash

Gordon was born in Greensburg, Pennsylvania on October 7, . . . well, maybe that's a bit too far back, albeit interesting. To the point:

I have just purchased http://www.gordonbash.com. This website, when completed, will provide you with the additional details of the blogs posted forthwith. The end to which they reach is the dissemination of information regarding studio and musician services. Anything else will be that bit of personal touch and humanity which I would hate to see disappear in the static of DigiTality.

Thanks for visiting. Have an amazing day!
